‘Are You Volleyball?!’ wins award at All Shorts Irvington

‘Are You Volleyball?!’ editor Esmail Alizadeh has won an award at All Shorts Irvington Film Festival in the US.

The film won the Best Editing Award at the spring edition of the American event.

Directed by Mohammad Bakhshi, this is the third international editing award of the film.

‘Are You Volleyball?!’ reveals the story of a group of Arab speaking asylum seekers who have lost their pacifications during the war and are seeking a better place in the world to live in. They arrive on the border and the story starts.

Bakhshi’s short has so far succeeded to win a number of awards from internationally celebrated film events such as the Global Film Los Angeles Film Festival in the US and the Milan Film Festival in Italy.

“Celebrating short films on the big screen, As iFF (All Shorts Irvington Film Festival) is a curated international film festival that presents live action, animated, and documentary short films,” the official website of the event wrote.

The spring edition of the festival was held on March 30, 2019.
